It is hard to believe that we are already at the end of February. But, blink, and we will be Christmas, or so it feels.
This is an extraordinary time, 12 months ago (the 20th), that Victoria joined us here at Savour Soil. Sitting over a cup of wine in a mug (that was all we had) while at a site up north, asking if she wanted to become part of something big – an edge. Fortunately, she said yes.
She was a past participant and good friend interested in learning more about permaculture and design. While starting small, she grasped the concepts quickly. So much faster than I ever did, now is an essential part of who we are and what we do.
With working on consults together, mapping, design work and a lot of behind-the-scenes admin, she is intelligent, creative and thoughtful and a fantastic addition to the team and subsequently becoming a director in the company.
She brings a level of artistic skill that has brought more ‘brightness’ to the designs, takes the patterns, and applies the detail.
I honestly believe that Savour Soil Permaculture has transitioned into something better because of it.
So, thank you, Victoria. 12 months down, and a future to go.
Our motto is about Making it Real. Making it real is not going to be easy, but like all things of value, it will be worth it.
So, we ask you. How are you going to make it real?
