With the change in the temperature and the moisture levels, it feels more like summer than spring, so we are looking at planting and acting accordingly. If we continue to follow most calendars regarding planting, then most of what we would plant here would struggle and not give us the yield we are looking to obtain. Going back to simple observation of the season rather than strict dates provides us with the flexibility that will allow us to continue harvesting without a feast/famine cycle. This is why we assess our lists every month to see if they are still viable and, if not, make adjustments to keep them current. With another month ahead of consults, design, education and personal learning activities, I am looking forward to October and the mystery it holds. Our motto is about Making it Real. Making it real is not going to be easy, but like all things of value, it will be worth it. |
