The Winter Solstice – The Longest Night.

Being marked by festivals and rituals, the winter solstice has been a significant time of year in many cultures. It marked the symbolic death and rebirth of the Sun. The seasonal significance of the winter solstice is in reversing the gradual lengthening of nights and shortening of days.

This, for us, means it is time to plan our calendar for the spring ahead. First, make sure we have the plants and seeds we need. While it is still cool, it is time to maintain the system and build new infrastructure to expand our plans and prepare for the ongoing projects.

It also means time to plan for new journeys.

It is now time to reflect on 12 months in a rental. While slow going at first with new plans to be added. From a bit of design, we will be getting Chickens, moving one of the bee hives to the property, rebuild the grow house to keep up with the varied projects as well as my own site; the addition of another 8 bioponics beds will allow us to produce food for up to 20 people on this small site.
This brings with it a new excitement. We will continue to document and show the what, how and when for a rental space to add to the possibilities.

2022 is proving to be a year of challenges, and that is definitely getting the brain moving.
Our motto is about Making it Real. Making it real is not going to be easy, but like all things of value, it will be worth it.
